JPJ denies B2 license class has increased from 250cc to 500cc

JPJ confirms that the B2 class remains as only including motorcycles under 250cc.

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has denied reports that the B2 license class has been increased to 500cc from 250cc previously.

JPJ shared on its official Facebook page denying a report by the ebidmotor.com blog stating that the B2 license class had risen to 500cc.

According to JPJ, the B2 driving license class still includes motorcycles under 250cc only and no amendments have been implemented so far.

JPJ also urges the public to always refer to JPJ’s official website and social media for confirmation before believing viral information on social media.

Based on the current license class, License B (full) is for motorcycles exceeding 500cc, while B1 does not exceed 500cc and B2 does not exceed 250cc.

While License C is for three-wheeled motorcycles.
