The Malaysian Road Transport Department (JPJ) has agreed to offer a reduction in summons payment of up to 70 percent to all summonses that can be compounded starting tomorrow until September 16.
The offer, however, does not apply to cases that are still in court, including those with an arrest warrant or trial status.
JPJ in a statement stated that the reduction of the compound will be given to all summons notices issued for offenses under the Road Transport Act 1987 (Act 333), the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board Act (Act 334), as well as the Rules and Orders thereunder. This also includes cases that are still in blacklist action.
“The reduction on the summons notice is based on the current compound rate available in the mySIKAP JPJ system.”
Meanwhile, JPJ also mentioned that the offer is also given to all summonses that are still active and the compound period is still in effect provided the payment is made within the discount period until September 16.
Payment of this summons notice can be made at all state JPJ offices, branches, and UTC, kiosks, or online through the JPJ mySIKAP portal.
