Updated 2022 KTM RC 390 Spotted! Launching soon?

Updated 2022 KTM RC 390 Spotted! Launching soon?

May 25, 2021

The production-ready 2022 KTM RC 390 has just been spotted undisguised. The model is expected to get an array of mechanical and design updates! Here are the details!

KTM RC 390 and Duke 390 were initially developed under a joint program of Bajaj and KTM engineers. Both the single cylinder 373.2 cc machines made their first debut back in 2012 during ECIMA in Milan. In the case of the KTM RC 390, the only “major” update the model received following its debut was losing the underslung exhaust for a conventional slip-on style exhaust system.

The recent reports suggest the arrival of an updated RC 390 real soon! In fact, since last year the next-gen KTM RC 390 has been spotted several times. Back then we only got to see the test mule covered in camouflage but well, now, the production-ready KTM RC 390 has just been spotted undisguised somewhere in India! According to sources, the next-gen KTM RC 390 is expected to make its global debut in the upcoming months.

What we know about the incoming KTM RC 390 so far

Thanks to the recent spy shots here are a few things we know about the next-gen KTM RC 390. For the next generation RC 390, KTM has revamped the design of the RC 390 from the ground up. The next-gen RC 390 gets an all-new fairing design and a full set of LED lighting. Besides this, the LED indicators are now embedded onto the fairing unlike the side mirror-mounted turn signal on the current RC 390. The seat and tail design have been updated as well to match the fresh new look.

Underneath, sources speculate the incoming model to get an all-new frame, however, we can’t confirm the claims just yet. Moving to the oily bits, the 373cc engine is said to be carried forward from the current RC 390. However, the engine is expected to get a few performance updates alongside the Euro 5/ BS 6 update. Although we don’t know in detail, suspension and braking components are expected to get an update as well. In the case of electronics and rider aids, the 2022 KTM RC 390 is rumoured to get a full TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, ABS and Traction Control.

Well, the details mentioned above are based on rumours and recent spy shots. We believe more details of the RC 390 would soon break cover. For more updates on the 2022 KTM RC 390, do follow up with us!
