Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Malaysia updated the Yamaha NMAX range in December 2020. The new generation of Yamaha NMAX received both design and tech updates. Well, HLYM has just announced two new colour and graphic options for the 2021 Yamaha NMAX. The 2021 Yamaha NMAX now comes in new signature Max-series colours: Power Grey and Icon Grey. In the case of pricing, the price remains unchanged at RM 8,998 excluding road tax, registration fee and insurance.

Speaking of the bike, the 2021 Yamaha NMAX follows an elegant design and comes with a powerful engine and an array of features. Upfront the model gets a 6-bulb LED headlamp unit (4 low beam bulbs and 2 high beam bulbs).

On the inside, the model features a large LCD instrument panel and an instrument linked toggle switch on the left side of the handlebar. Blending with the overall sleek design, the model features an LED taillight at the rear.

Moving to the oily bits, the Yamaha NMAX is powered by a Blue Core liquid-cooled SOHC 155cc single-cylinder VVA engine. Mated to a CVT gearbox, the 2021 Yamaha NMAX pushes 15.1 hp @ 8,000 rpm and 13.9 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.

Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic front fork and twin shocks at the rear. In the case of brakes, hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear take care of braking duties.

As for electronics and rider aids, the 2021 Yamaha NMAX comes with Stop & Start System, 12V charging socket and a large 23.3l under-seat storage compartment.  Fuel tank capacity is 7.1 litres and the NMAX weighs 130 kg wet.
