The CFMoto 800MT feature the KTM 790 parallel twin-cylinder power.
Chinese motorcycle manufacturer CFMoto has rolled out one of the long-anticipated motorcycles to date- the CF Moto 800MT adventure touring motorcycle. The 800MT has grabbed the attention of many with the engine being from the previous generation KTM 790 Duke.
The relationship between CFMoto and KTM dates back to 2011 when they signed a deal to import and supply KTM machines across China. Back in 2018, KTM and CFMOTO officially announced their joint venture, CFMoto-KTMR2R. With this, the plan was to transfer the production of KTM’s middleweight parallel-twin, 799cc LC8c models, to CFMoto’s Hangzhou plant in China starting 2020.
According to Visordown, two new bikes were unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show exhibition hall as well. One was a more long-legged touring machine whereas the other had a more rugged-looking exterior.
The 800MT features the 799cc LC8c parallel twin, which powered the KTM 790 Duke and 790 Adventure machines. It produces approximately 95bhp in this form and about 58lb-ft of torque.
