2021 Yamaha YZF-R15 gets a new colour option in Malaysia – RM11,988

2021 Yamaha YZF-R15 gets a new colour option in Malaysia – RM11,988

HLYM has just introduced a new silver colour option for the 2021 Yamaha YZF-R15. Here are the details!

Hong Leong Yamaha Motor has just announced an additional Silver colour option for the 2021 Yamaha YZF-R15 in Malaysia. Falling alongside the current Race Blu and Black colour variants which were introduced in October 2020, we think the new Silver option for 2021 gives a new fresh look to Yamaha’s mighty 155cc sports bike. Besides the addition of the new colour range, the design and specifications of the 2021 Yamaha YZF-R15 remain unchanged.

2021 Yamaha YZF-R15

Speaking of the bike,  the Yamaha YZF-R15 follows the R-DNA of its bigger R siblings. Upfront the Yamaha YZF-R15 features a twin LED headlights and a sleek modern R1-style LED taillight at the rear.

Suspension duties are taken care of by a 41mm telescopic front fork and link-type mono-shock at the rear. Braking is done via a dual-piston calliper with a 282mm disc up front and a single-piston calliper with a 220mm disc at the rear. Weighing 137 kgs, the 2021 Yamaha YZF-R15 sits on a set of 17-inch wheels with a 100/80 front tyre and a chunkier 140/70 rear tyre. Built around Yamaha’s delta box frame; the YZF-R15 comes with an 11-litre fuel tank and rolls in with a seat height of 830mm.

The 2021 Yamaha YZF-R15 is now available in a total of three colours: Race Blu, Black and Silver. The recommended basic sales price (excluding insurance, road tax and registration fee) remains unchanged at RM11,988. As earlier, with the purchase of a Yamaha YZF-R15, buyers also get a complementary Yamaha disc lock worth RM100. The 2021 Yamaha YZF-R15 in the new fresh silver colour option is said to be made available at all authorized dealers starting April 2021.
