Boon Siew Honda has just launched the updated 2021 Honda Wave 125i in Malaysia. The model gets updates around the powertrain and design for 2021.

Boon Siew Honda has just pulled the cover off the updated 2021 Honda Wave 125i for the Malaysian market today. Equipped with Euro 4 complaint 124.9cc engine with Honda’s PMG-Fi (Programmed Fuel Injection) technology, the Honda Wave 125i continues to be a powerful and fuel-efficient moped. For 2021, the model gets a new dial design and a set of 3 new colours which further highlights the dynamic and premium appearance. Being a Cub, the Honda Wave 125i is spec’d in a way to fulfil both rider requirements and excelling riding experience.

Powered by a four-stroke, air-cooled 124.9cc single-cylinder PMG-Fi engine, mated to a 4-speed auto-clutch transmission, the 2021 Honda Wave 125i pushes 9hp @ 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 10.1 Nm @ 5,000 rpm.

Suspension duties are taken care of by telescopic front fork and twin shocks at the rear. Braking is done via hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear. The 2021 Honda Wave 125i rolls in with 17-inch wheels wrapped around by a 70/90 tyre up front and a wider 80/90 tyre at the rear.

In the case of rider aids and features, the Honda Wave 125i gets a large 18-litre storage tank, LED lighting and a premium instrument panel.



The 2021 Honda Wave 125i is available in there colours: Extravagant Gold Metallic, Candy Scintillate Red and Pearl Nightfall Blue.


As for the pricing, the 2021 Honda Wave 125i rolls in with a showroom price of RM 6,499 in Malaysia (excluding road tax, insurance and registration fee). The model is said to be available at Honda authorised dealerships starting 5th March 2021 in Malaysia.
