If you want a light and easy-to-manage dual-sport machine, the Honda CRF250 Rally is one of the best options out there.  With styling drawn from HRC CRF450 Rally Dakar Racer, the small capacity Honda CRF250 Rally is a perfect fit for both trail or tarmac use. For Malaysia, Boon Siew Honda has just announced the updated 2021 Honda CRF250 Rally with an array of mechanical updates and minor design changes.

Starting with the design,  following the sleek Dakar racer look, the 2021 Honda CRF250 Rally gets a redesigned LED headlight and turn signals with flexible rubber mounts.

The model also gets a new digital instrument panel with a gear position indicator and a fuel consumption meter. Besides these updates, the overall fairing design remains similar to the ongoing model.

To enhance rider comfort, Honda has added a broader seat and step rubber within the saddle. The fuel tank capacity has also been increased to 12.8 litres for a longer riding range.

Powered by a liquid-cooled 250cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC engine, the 2021 Honda CRF 250 Rally pushes 18.3kW / 24.5 hp @ 9,000 rpm and a peak torque of 23.0 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. Mechanical updates around the engine include a newly designed air cleaner, exhaust muffler, intake camshaft and optimized ignition timing for a strong linear output.

In the case of the gearbox, the gear ratio has been revised for improved acceleration and cruising. As an added rider aid, the new assist and slipper clutch further enhances rider control.

Underneath, the frame and swingarm have also been revised. Thanks to this, weighing in at just 152kg, the overall weight has been reduced by 5kg.

Suspension duties are taken care of by a Showa 43mm upside-down front fork and a Pro-Link rear suspension. In the case of braking, a 296mm hydraulic disc brake with a 2-piston calliper up front and a 220mm hydraulic disc brake with a 1-piston calliper at the rear take care of braking duties. 2 Channel ABS is standard on the CRF250 Rally, however, the rear ABS has the option to be switched off when off-roading.

2021 Honda CRF250 Rally Price in Malaysia

The 2021 Honda CRF250 Rally is available in one colour option, Extreme Red and is priced at RM 27,599 (excluding road tax, insurance and registration fee) in Malaysia.
