Triumph just released a teaser for its first launch of the year which is set to take place on 26th of January 2021.

Triumph is starting the year with a bang with the launch of the big bore Triumph Speed Triple 1200RS. Back in July 2020, we came across the Triumph Speed Triple 1160 Test Mule which was spotted by RideApart. As we speculated earlier, Triumph is planning on pulling the cover off the new big-bore Speed Triple later this month.

The newest member that’s joining Triumph’s Speed Triple line up is the Triumph Speed Triple 1200RS. According to the teaser, the incoming Triumph Speed Triple 1200RS will get a displacement boost. This means the current Triumph 1050 RS will get replaced by the newer 1200RS this year.

From the teaser, we can confirm that the new Speed Triple 1200RS would get similar aesthetic updates as the new 765 Street Triple range. Besides these details, the full specification is unknown for now. However, we can expect to see a top-notch electronic package, braking and suspension set up to match.

We think the Triumph Speed Triple 1200RS would push close to 200hp, meaning it can easily be on par with bikes like the Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the Aprilia Tuono 1100.

The Global launch of the 2021 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS will take place on the 26th of January 2021 at 12 PM (GMT). From the east, Kawasaki will also be launching a range of 2021 models on the same day, so we are looking forward to it!
