The much anticipated Honda ADV 150 is coming to town very soon! In fact, pre-booking for the Honda ADV 150 is already open in Malaysia!

Back in September, soon after Boon Siew Honda launched the Honda CBR250RR Race Support Programme, we started hearing about the road-going Honda CBR250RR and the Honda ADV 150 coming to Malaysia.

A month later, Honda BigWing Setapak opened up pre-booking for the highest spec, Honda CBR250RR, the Honda CBR250RR SP in Malaysia.  The official launch is still pending, however, after getting in touch with a few sources we were told that the CBR250RR will be officially launched in Malaysia by the end of this month, December 2020.

With the CBR250RR sort of out of the picture, the next bike on the list is the Honda ADV 150.  Well, just a while ago, Honda Impian X Ee Tiong Motorsports announced that the pre-booking for the new Honda ADV 150 is already open. Launch details haven’t been announced yet, however, we were told that the Honda ADV 150 will be officially launched in Malaysia by the end of February 2021.

As for the pricing, rumours suggest the Honda ADV 150 would be going on sale for around RM15,000++; excluding road tax, insurance and registration fee. Interested? the Honda ADV 150 can now be pre-booked in Malaysia for as low as RM 500.

Speaking of the Honda ADV 150, in other markets, the model gets; adjustable windshield, Honda Smart Key system, full LED lighting with DRLs and ABS as standard. Note, some markets get a Non-ABS CBS (Combi Brake System) variant as well.


As for suspension, the ADV 150 gets a full Showa suspension set up which consists of 31mm Showa telescopic fork upfront and Showa twin shocks at the rear. Braking is done via a single 240mm disc up front and mechanical 130mm drum or disc brakes at the rear (depending on the market).

On the creature comfort side, the ADV 150 features a large 27-litre under-seat storage tank and a 2-litre glovebox with an inbuilt 12V charging socket.


The ADV 150 is Powered by a 149.3cc SOHC liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which comes equpieed with Honda’s eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) and PGM-FI. Mated to a CVT and belt final drive; the Honda ADV 150 pushes 14.34hp @ 8,500rpm and 13.8Nm of peak torque @ 6,500rpm. Remember, these specifications are for the Honda ADV 150 model that is available in other markets; so features “might” slightly change for the Malaysian market.
