Recent spy shots reveal the incoming 2021 Aprilia RSV4 for the first time. The 2021 Aprilia RSV4 follows its younger sibling, Aprilia RS 660’s modern design.
It took some time for Aprilia to launch the much anticipated mid-weight sports bike, the Aprilia RS660. With the RS660 finally out in the wild, it looks like Aprilia is now busy working on RS660’s elder siblings, the RSV4.
Here is how we know this: Thanks to Motomaniaci from Italy, we have the very first spy shots of the updated 2021 Aprilia RSV4. According to these spy shots, Aprilia is currently putting the incoming 2021 Aprilia RSV4 through the final stages of road tests.
The most obvious change we see is in the design. It looks like the upcoming RSV4 2021 would follow RS660’s sharp and modern design. The RSV4 gets an all-new fascia which features an updated LED twin headlamp unit, windshield as well as integrated aerodynamic fins.
Although the frame looks unchanged, the test mule seems to feature an uprated lower reinforced swing arm design similar to the ones from Aprilia’s RS-GP racing machine.
The new Aprilia RSV4 2021 would definitely be Euro 5 compliant. In the case of the powerplant, Motociclismo speculates Aprilia would maintain the current longitudinal liquid-cooled 65° V-4 engine and revise a few things. If that’s the case, the standard RSV4 would push around 201 hp @ 13,000 rpm and 115 Nm of peak torque @ 10,500 rpm.
These are all speculations at this point. Looking at the test mule, it looks like the new RSV4 is going through the final stages of testing. This means the launch could be just around the corner.
