If you are a Vespa fan, you might have already come across the Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon edition. Built in partnership with Vespa and one of the most influential and creative designers Sean Wotherspoon, the Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon edition is a moving piece of art on wheels.

Didi Resources Sdn Bhd just launched this limited edition Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon for the Malaysian market today.

Sean Wotherspoon is one of the rising youth fashion stars who is fanatic of street culture and everything that revolves around fashion and colours. In Malaysia, Sean Wotherspoon is well known among sneaker fans because of his collaboration with famous sneaker brands.

Coming together with Vespa brand for a special collaboration, the American fashion pioneer expressed his enthusiasm:

“Based on their immense history and heritage I’m beyond excited to start work with Vespa/Piaggio. I’m going to dig as deep as possible to help re-create these memories and re-imagine them through my lens to share with everyone! This is going to be insane! Stay tuned!”

As a result of the new Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon edition, Sean has given his own trademark touch to give Vespa style elements a vintage-contemporary twist. Using Vespa’s Primavera as the canvas, Sean has given the bike a kaleidoscopic mix&match approach rooted from the ’80s and ’90s which makes this edition of the Primavera a very unique one.

Design

Speaking of the design, the Sean Wotherspoon livery stands out for its explosion of eighties colours with a splash of yellow, red, dark green and aquamarine all around the bike. The white front mudguard inserts, the knee guard and the Vespa logo rims contrast with the overall motorcycle theme.

Aside from this, there are a lot of chrome touches too. The addition of chrome gives it an elegant touch from the headlight frame to the baggage rack, side mirror and passenger handle.

Consequently, on the metal body, the red footboard with blue rubber inserts stands out. As for the saddle, Sean has chosen a light brown colour ribbed velvet and added in his distinctive logo to make this Primavera standout.

Aside from this, the “Primavera” repeating logo on the rear body and iconic Vespa logo alongside Sean’s logo at the front gives it an original perspective distinctive to this model.

Engine

A 154.8cc i-get single cylinder 4 stroke engine is powered by the Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon version. Mated to CVT  with torque server the Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon edition pushes 9.5kw at 7750 rpm and 12.8Nm at 6,500 rpm.

Suspension and brakes

Double-acting hydraulic shock absorber up front and double-acting shock absorber with rear adjustable preloading perform suspension duties.

In the case of brakes, single-channel ABS with 200mm stainless steel disc brake at the front and mechanically operated 140mm drum brake at the rear takes care of braking.

Price and availability

Didi Resources Sdn Bhd announced that the Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon edition would be available starting today at all Vespa network in Malaysia with a starting price of RM24,960. Fans can get a look at the Vespa Primavera Sean Wotherspoon edition at Crossover store in Sunway Pyramid, Selangor and Southkey Mall, Johor.

In the Primavera Sean Wotherspoon Version, Sean Wotherspoon has also created a series of streetwear clothes that also complement Vespa’s designs. This Vespa x Sean Wotherspoon capsule collection is also available at Crossover store in Sunway Pyramid and Southkey Mall Johor.
