The COVID-19 outbreak has taken a serious toll worldwide. Most of us are stuck at home because of either lockdown or movement control order (MCO). You are a biker and wondering how to make use of this time with your bike? Well, here is a list of things to get you started and be productive.

Motorcycle at Home

1. Regular Motorcycle Maintenance and Installing Accessories

You could make use of this time to do minor maintenance work on your motorcycle. Let’s start with the basics – tightening, cleaning and lubing your motorcycle chain could be a good start. Find chain maintenance kit here!

Next thing on the list is changing oil, air filter or coolant. You could order the right products from online and do this yourself at home. (Only do this if your bike’s warranty wouldn’t be affected) On top of this, you could make use of online stores to purchase and install motorcycle accessories/ gadgets that can put up by yourself. Always wanted that phone holder but never had the time? Why don’t you take this time to make a purchase and install it by yourself?

Last but not least, under maintaining your motorcycle washing your motorcycle can one thing. Want to take it up a notch? why not get some quality detailing kit and detail your motorcycle?

2. Cleaning your motorcycle riding gears

Aside from getting all greasy, how about we look at a few riding gear maintenance? Because it’s essential when riding your motorcycle! So take this opportunity to have it cleaned up while you don’t use them. Let’s start with cleaning your motorcycle helmets! Follow the right procedure provided by the manufacturer and always use the right cleaning products to clean your helmet in and out.

Moving on, now let’s look at your gloves and jackets. Look at things such as manufactures guidelines to know more about cleaning guidelines and procedures (Procedures and cleaning usable products might vary depending on the type and quality of the jacket/glove material). After checking, you can purchase the right cleaning products online.

Find certified cleaning products here!

4. Play video games

Yes, that’s right, make use of this time to play some games that you never had the time for. We know you miss riding so why not ride in virtual reality for now until we are back to normal? PC, XBOX or Playstation, take this time to download your favourite motorcycle game and play! We heard most of the gaming platforms are having offers during this lockdown period, why not have a look at it?

Incase, you feel lost, here is a list of motorcycle games that we tried and we think might interest you.

5. Focus on your hobby

Love collecting diecast or making models? well, this might be something for you. Most of us love building model kits but sadly not all of us get the time to put time and effort into it. Since we have the time and effort to put to use, why not make a replica model of your bike? or maybe a model of your favourite retro racer from the 90s? Online shopping makes everything from accessories to hobby items easily available at your doorstep!

6. Read Motorcycle articles and books

Are you the type that loves reading and riding? Well, you read until the end so I’m assuming you are one.
