Good News: AEON Credit Service Gives One-Month Loan Deferment

AEON credit service has stepped up to assist its customers by providing one-month deferment to all loans except credit card.

Banks in Malaysia started giving out deferment for loans last week.  However, as a Non-Bank Financial Institution, AEON Credit Service (M) Berhad has also stepped up to assist its customers by providing one-month deferment to all loans except credit card. The one-month loan deferment will be automatically activated to all AEON Credit customers without any prejudice effective 1st April 2020. Also, the deferment shall not have additional charges.

In the case of borrowers that continue to experience repayment difficulties due to the COVID-19 shall contact AEON collection centre for repayment options such as refinancing or restructuring of their existing loan facilities.

Furthermore, in line with Bank Negara Malaysia, AEON Credit will also be offering its customers the option to convert their outstanding credit card balances into term loans for 36 months with the interest rate of 13%.

In Malaysia, almost 90% of motorcycle owners purchase their bike with AEON Credit.  This includes the lower 40 percent (B40) and also the 40 percent middle class (M40).  AEON credit service stepping up to giving one-month loan deferment is a piece of good news!
