Modenas Ninja 250

21st February 2020 – 2020 Modenas Ninja 250 SE ABS was showcased at the MITI Lobby during the 2020 NAP (National Automotive Policy). We recently heard some news about Kawasaki increasing their share in Modenas. Aside from this, we also heard their plan to assemble motorcycles through Modenas locally. The very first bike to come out of this collaboration is the Modenas Ninja 250 SE ABS. As we heard from a Modenas’s official, the pricing of the bike is still not confirmed; however, the bike is expected to launch around the second quarter of this year. The current Kawasaki Ninja 250 SE ABS is priced at  RM23,071, and the naked version goes for RM21,998 in Malaysia. However, the rebadged Modenas Ninja 250 SE ABS would cost less as it is locally assembled. As for a naked version, we are unsure if Mondenas and Kawasaki would roll out with one.

Features

The 2020 Modenas Ninja 250 SE is almost similar to the Kawasaki Ninja 250 SE; however, it has some upgrades. The Modenas Ninja 250 SE comes with ABS, EURO 4 compliance and rolls out with new CNG compared to EURO 3 and older CNG on the current Kawasaki Ninja 250. The official also mentioned this the first to introduce these features in the Asian market. As for the colour scheme, the bike would be available in black and grey.
