Exotic and historic British manufacturer Hesketh published a sketch of its new model. The new sportbike features a supercharged three-cylinder engine!
After getting a second chance, British manufacturer Hesketh seems to have found a way to survive by creating exotic and limited production motorcycles.
The first of the new generation Hesketh was the 24. This bike was named in honor of the racing number Formula 1 driver James Hunt used when he won his first F1 race, driving a car sponsored by Lord Hesketh.
After that first bike Hesketh continued to build limited production bikes. The Sonnet and the Valiant, both with V-Twin engines. The Valiant though featured an S&S engine with a Rotrex supercharger kit. That bike produced a power between 210 hp and 250 hp!
With all the production sold almost immediately to buyers looking for exotic and unique motorcycles, Hesketh is now trying to stretch its efforts to another segment: sportbikes.
Using its own Facebook page Hesketh revealed the sketch of a new sportbike. That bike will feature a new longitudinal three-cylinder engine with 1000 cc. The best feature of this engine is almost hidden: a supercharger!
Hesketh says that this new motorcycle will be on sale by 2020.
