Italian manufacturer registered the Pro versions of the Scrambler 1100 models. Two new Scrambler Ducati expected for 2020 to be revealed in October.
By the end of October Ducati will host a special media event in Rimini, Italy. We’ve already received the information regarding this event and that we should be ready for something special.
But with the EICMA just a few days after this event in Rimini, what exactly is Ducati revealing?
It seems that Ducati will be officially revealing two new Scrambler models. British website BikeSocial published a set of patent files that show Pro versions of the Scrambler 1100. This Pro variant of the Scrambler 1100 and Scrambler 1100 Sport will be more exotic.
These patent files reveal that the twin-cylinder air-cooled engine remains untouched. So, the Pro versions won’t get more power or torque.
The first information’s about the Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro points to these bikes getting a more off-road focus. Ducati wants the bigger Scrambler of the line-up to offer better off-road behavior, like the Desert Sled variant.
We expect that the Scrambler 1100 Pro will feature different suspension setup, with bigger stroke, and knobby tyres for extra grip in the dirt.
There are also some rumors that say that the Pro models are just the basic Scrambler 1100 with the better electronic package. To back this theory, we have seen Ducati using the Pro name in some of its riding aids like Ducati Quickshift Pro or Ducati Traction Control Pro.
Whatever Ducati wants to do with the Scrambler 1100 Pro, we will need to wait a little more to understand this new 2020 Scrambler line-up.
