Curtiss has revealed the pricing for its new electric Zeus, but is it worth it?
Curtiss Motorcycles came up with a new electric motorcycle prototype last year under its new branding. The firm displayed the prototype, Zeus, at the 2018 Quail Motorcycle Gathering. This time, the firm has announced a price for the new electric bike. The Zeus comes in two variations, namely the Cafe Racer and the Bobber. The Cafe Racer takes on the original prototype with several modern features whereas the Bobber has a more aggressive exterior. Both the models now bear a staggering price tag of $60,000. You read that right. There have been debates on whether the bike is worth the hefty price. The information on the full specifications of the Zeus is scarce but what we know is that it is capable of going up to approximately 280-miles per charge. The battery range is rather attractive and seems like it is of money’s worth. This would be the highest in the current market. The bike is capable of churning 190 hp and 145lb-ft of torque at 475lb. The bike comes with a futuristic image, much like an extraction from a sci-fi movie. The modular frame of the Zeus consists of aluminium and carbon fibre. It is supported by 17-inch wheels and Pirelli Diablo Rosso tires. It also features an aluminium cantilever swingarm with a monoshock at the rear. Curtiss will be commencing its online reservations for the Zeus with a $6,000 deposit. Deliveries will begin in early 2020.
