Ducati reveals the Streetfighter V4 prototype

Ducati will use the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb to show its new naked. The Streetfighter V4 will be raced by Carlin Dunne.

It took a long time, but now it’s official! Ducati revealed today the prototype of the new Streetfighter V4 supernaked. The prototype will first be seen in public during the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb on June 30^th.

The new Streetfighter V4 has been under our radar for quite some time. It’s one of the most interesting motorcycles expected to hit the road in 2020. Ducati confirms that the production version will be shown during the next EICMA. And then customers will be able to buy the new performance naked by March 2020.

Keeping with tradition, this naked will be based on the current Ducati superbike. The Streetfighter V4 will share most of the components with the Panigale V4. This includes the Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine with 1103 cc. The power of the Streetfighter is still unknown but is expected to be very close to the 200 hp mark.

For this bike, Ducati also developed a special aerodynamic package, including a couple of wings on the side of the bike.

Carlin Dunne, an American rider, will be responsible to put the Streetfighter V4 prototype through its paces. He will race at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, and this will be the very first time the public will be able to see the bike.
