Monster Energy Yamaha signs in Lorenzo Daretti for MotoGP eSport

Monster Energy Yamaha has just signed in reigning MotoGP eSports champion Lorenzo Daretti as their eRider!

Lorenzo Daretti is Monster Energy Yamaha's new eRider Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP is currently the first team to make an announcement regarding their official Factory Rider for MotoGP eSport with the signing of Lorenzo Daretti. The double eSport World Champion is notoriously known for his gamer name Trastevere73. He is the latest addition to the Monster Energy Yamaha family. The team has aims of dominating the eSports industry apart from its usual impressive performance on the track. Daretti’s limelight in his career includes scoring first place in the 2017 and 2018 MotoGP eSport championship crowns. He came onto the stage by the team with a custom Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP replica YZF-R1. The bike sported his number 58 and personal logo ‘Trast73’. Joining him on stage were MotoGP stars Valentino Rossi and Maverick Viñales. Top gaming brand MSI will be supplying Daretti with a high-performance laptop for the season. “I’m really proud to start this new season as an official eSport rider for Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP. Being a part of this team, which immediately welcomed me with open arms, is an indescribable emotion,” Daretti states according to Monster Yamaha Racing. “After two world titles, this year it will be harder to repeat myself.  This is because my rivals are getting more and more professional and determined. But the fact that I am the first official rider in the history of the sport gives me an extra boost.
