Moto2 – Khairul Idham Pawi gets a brilliant 13 position in Argentina GP

With Hafizh Syahrin getting a good result in MotoGP, another Malaysian rider grabbed the fans attention at the recent Argentina GP last Sunday. Khairul Idham Pawi, of the Petronas Sprinta Racing team, ended the Argentinian Moto2 race in 13 place after a great performance during Sunday’s race.

Starting from 25^th on the grid at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, Pawi faced a tough challenge at this particular track, but the young Malaysian rider overcomes many of his direct rivals to score his first three points of the Moto2 season.

“I am very happy with the bike and especially with the team as we worked hard ahead of this race,” said Khairul. “The positive thing is that I improved with every lap”, said the rider after securing his best race result of the season in Argentina.

Next up on the Moto2 calendar is the Americas GP at the superb Circuit of the Americas in Texas. Khairul Idham Pawi will now face this race with optimism, knowing he is now very close to being fighting for a top 10 result.
