Honda CBR250RR: The sportbike exclusive for Asia

Honda CBR250RR: The sportbike exclusive for Asia
Bruno Gomes
April 15, 2019

Honda created a new CBR250RR featuring three riding modes and a powerful twin-cylinder engine.

Sometimes, Asian countries have all the luck in the world. And this is one of those times. Honda decided to step-up their game in the small displacement sportbike segment and revealed the new 2020 CBR250RR.

This model is exclusive to be sold in Asia, and European riders are already wondering why Honda won’t bring the CBR250RR to Europe.

And why are European riders so annoyed by this?

Because the new CBR250RR comes with a lot of great features. The most important is the use of an advanced electronics package that includes three different riding modes – Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ -, besides delivering an exhilarating performance using a powerful twin-cylinder engine.

The 250 cc engine delivers no less than 36,3 hp at 12.500 rpm, and the maximum torque of 22,5 Nm is reached at 10.500 rpm. To help the rider explore all that this engine has to offer, Honda installed a six-speed gearbox.

With a full LED lighting system, the 2020 Honda CBR250RR gets adjustable upside-down front forks, a Pro-link rear shock, and for extra safety the disc brakes also feature ABS.

For European riders, the CBR250RR would be a welcome arrival, but for them, Honda will probably be launching a different displacement version, probably with 300 cc or 400 cc even. For now, the CBR250RR is a small jewel that is exclusive for Asian countries.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
