We’re just at the start of the Winter break for MotoGP riders and two wheel racers around the world, and many have gathered at the famous Autodromo Nazional Monza, north of Milan, Italy, for the 2018 edition of the spectacular Monza Rally Show. Defending champion Valentino Rossi was the favorite to win, and the MotoGP rider didn’t disappoint his many fans, winning after a dominant performance in four wheels.

The three-day event was completely dominated by Valentino Rossi. The Italian racer tooki his Ford Fiesta to the overall victory and also taking the win in the WRC Plus class, beating Teemu Suninen, also on a Ford Fiesta.

Third place went to Roberto Brivio, brother to Suzuki’s MotoGP manager Davide Brivio, who edged Uccio Salucci for stepping into the podium at this Monza Rally Show.

With this victory, Valentino Rossi now extends his record as the best racer at this special Monza event. Il Dottore raises to a total of seven wins, four in a row, and has two more wins than second best, Rinaldo Capello, who already won the famous Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race.

Either in two or in four wheels, Valentino Rossi continues to show all his racing talent.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
