Marc Marquez his ranking up as an all-time best in MotoGP, and even if he manages to impress everyone with his feats on the racetrack, the Spanish rider also gets to impress outside the tracks.
At the last race of the season in Valencia, Marc Marquez received the keys for his brand-new BMW M3 CS.
The new BMW M3 CS is his prize for being the rider that secured the best qualifying results throughout the MotoGP season, a special classification that works much like the race classification, but with riders receiving points according to their qualifying results.
Marc Marquez had already secured the 2018 BMW M Award at the Australian GP, but the Repsol Honda rider had to wait until last weekend to get into his new BMW M3 CS. This is the sixth BMW M car Marquez receives, and the young Spanish rider is now the record holder for this award, having won the prize for the last six seasons… straight!
The second best MotoGP rider at the BMW M Award is Valentino Rossi tied with Casey Stoner, both with three wins each, while Marquez new teammate Jorge Lorenzo has two awards to his name.
At just 20 years of age Marquez started to collect these special cars prepared by BMW’s M division. His first was an M6 Coupe, followed by an M4 Coupe, another M6 but this time the Cabrio version, the next season he added the M2 Coupe to his collection, in 2017 BMW offered him a spectacular M4 CS, and this season he breaks all the BMW M Award records by wrapping up his championship-winning season with the M3 CS.
