Akrapovic has been doing motorcycle exhausts for a long time now (and also for cars), and the Slovenian brand has put all their racing department to good use for all of us riders around the world, creating exhausts that we all can use on our bikes on the road and on the racetrack.
And although many other motorcycle exhaust manufacturers also get the chance to create very interesting and performance oriented exhausts, the truth is that every time Akrapovic decides to show something new, we can expect it to be truly special!
At this year’s EICMA Milan motorcycle show, and alongside the Ducati, Panigale V4R reveal, Akrapovic showed their very special and race intended exhaust system for the new special homologation Panigale V4R.
This is, as usual for racing, a full exhaust system made in high-grade titanium. Together with a bespoke ECU unit, and a race air filter from Sprint Filter, the Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine of the V4R is able to develop 234 hp, a huge increase in peak power considering the already impressive 221 hp from the stock Panigale V4R.
This Akrapovic full system was developed together with Ducati Corse racing department, in hopes to get the absolute best out of the V4 engine, and it’s not homologated for road use.
To mark the launch of this new exhaust system, Akrapovic decided to publish a video of the manufacturing process behind the creation of such an impressive piece of engineering. The price to have one of these Akrapovic full systems on your Ducati Panigale V4R isn’t known yet, but expect it to be very expensive and built in limited numbers.
