Last weekend Hafizh Syahrin ended up in 14th position at the Czech GP, in Brno, and those two points meant that the Malaysian is still leading the race for the “Rookie of the Year” title, with Franco Morbidelli second in this race.
But in Brno, Syahrin showed what he can do when he feels confident, and after a fantastic performance on Friday practice sessions, where he claimed the fourth fastest time of the day, his best performance so far since arriving in MotoGP, the Tech3 rider admitted he studied Jorge Lorenzo’s riding style to be faster
“First, I cannot believe what I did in the two sessions on the first day. I tried to ride smooth. We know that Lorenzo was very fast with Yamaha here and I tried to copy his style to ride at Brno”, said the 24-year old Malaysian.
Next stop for Hafizh Syahrin will be next weekend, when the MotoGP paddock lands at the Red Bull Ring, Austria, for the Austrian GP. Be sure you check iMotorbike for the latest news about MotoGP and Hafizh Syahrin!
