If you have no idea what to get for your significant other, how about a bike? Flowers, roses, watches or clothes are not the norm for this Malaysian couple as Dahlia Suhaida took the effort to surprise her husband with a brand new motorcycle for their 16th wedding anniversary. This is a token of appreciation for him being such a loving husband and caring father to their children.
Her husband has been using his bike since they started dating way back in 1995, and to commemorate their 20 something years of being together, this seemed to be the perfect gift she could come up with, and she is not at all wrong.
“This is a surprise for you who have been so faithful to me and your old EX5 motorcycle throughout this 21 years. We have been living modestly for years. Living lavishly is not our way. A year before we dated in 1996, you bought your EX5 motorcycle. We started dating in 1997 I was just in Form Three, and when I was 19 years old we got married. We have been dating for five years in love and married for 16 years. During this time, you have been unwaveringly faithful to your trusty old EX5 and me,” she posted in a viral Facebook post.
She mentioned that she got the idea to buy him a new motorcycle since his old one was beginning to give him problems, making it difficult to fetch their kids from school and even run errands for her beauty business. She had been waiting for months to get the Yamaha Y15ZR and finally got her hands on it.
“Although we do have a car, your heart has always been with your motorcycle which is why I bought a new one for you. Thank you for being a great father and awesome husband to us,” she added.
