Brembo issues a safety recall on rear calipers and pads

Italian giant brake manufacturer Brembo has released a safety recall on some rear brake calipers and rear brake pads. This recall concerns some aftermarket replacement kits, and is especially centered on brake pads.

The pads are supplied by Federal Mogul Italia, and carry the production code number #672.

According to Brembo, these brake pads may have been produced using a flawed production technique, so the solution for those who have bought a brake pad with this production code number is to contact your dealer and have them replaced by new ones, free of charge.

If you recently bought a rear caliper from Brembo make sure you check the pad. No other brake kits are affected by this problem.
