Malaysia bikers get to navigate the roads with Google Maps Motorcycle Mode

Malaysia bikers get to navigate the roads with Google Maps Motorcycle Mode

Are you a motorcyclist and struggle to find your way to places at times? Well fear no more as Google is proud to unveil its brand new feature for Google Maps called Motorcycle Mode. It allows Malaysia motorcyclists to manage their way around with improved navigation and traffic across the country.

In a congested town such as Kuala Lumpur, there are many road segments where bikers aren’t allowed to venture. The new feature will help them in terms of direction and estimated time needed per journey. This way, the motorcyclists will not need to do mental calculation to estimate their time arrival based on a combination of walking and driving routes. Not to mention, with the mode, they would be able to retrieve a much more accurate time to reach their destination during heavy traffic.

“We want to provide the most local and relevant experience to meet people’s needs. We’re pleased to offer a new feature that we hope makes getting around on a motorcycle in Malaysia a little easier. We want to help riders get to where they want to go reliably and confidently and keep Malaysia on the move,” said Suren Ruhela, Director, Google Maps for Next Billion Users.

Apart from the improved travels times and estimation, there is also a landmark-based navigation to include prominent landmarks that will help people to plan their trips in order to remember their routes.

For the fellow Malaysians that wish to get this new update, make sure that you have updated your Google Maps to the latest version. You may clear the cache in the settings if needed.
