Electric motorcycles, much in the same way as what’s happening with electric cars, are the future of transportation and many brands are developing innovative ways to bring electric engines to us.
Tesla, owned and founded by billionaire Elon Musk, is one of the top players in the electric world, and so it would make sense they were thinking about making a two-wheel version of a Tesla car.
But that won’t happen, at least according to Elon Musk’s latest comments during the firm’s 2018 shareholder meeting.
According to some reports, Elon Musk showed up wearing a leather jacket, and that made someone make the question: will Tesla ever build an electric motorcycle?
Elon’s answer was quite clear on this, saying that although he once used to ride, he believes motorcycles are dangerous and so Tesla won’t be involved in bringing a new electric motorcycle using the Tesla badge
“I actually used to ride motorcycles when I was kid, dirt-biking for like eight years or something. Then I had a road bike until I was 17, and was almost killed by a truck. So we’re not going to do motorcycles”.
Do you believe Elon Musk is right thinking this way?
With all the technology being developed today to increase road safety, and Tesla being such a forward thinking brand, shouldn’t they also be looking at developing an electric motorcycle?
