Ducati reveals the most precious Monster ever!

Ducati reveals the most precious Monster ever!

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the iconic Italian naked Monster, and Ducati is making sure that this isn’t just going to pass by without notice. Not only the Borgo Panigale based company is taking the Monster to new heights during the World Ducati Week, but it turns out that they had a special project they managed to keep in secret… until now.

Ducati has just revealed the new special edition of the Monster, dubbed Monster 1200 25º Anniversario, and this bike does look stunning in the photos!

Ducati will only produce 500 examples of the Monster 1200 25º Anniversario, characterized by an exclusive paint scheme, inspired by the 2008 Monster S4RS Testastretta Tricolore, with the Italian flag colours.

The gold coloured frame and forged Marchesini wheels with W spokes in the same colour are another distinguishing feature of this Monster, which also has numerous other prestigious details machined from solid, such as the mirrors, frame plugs, handlebar end weights and the petrol cap, which is a standard fitting. The articulated brake and clutch levers as well as the plate holder are also in aluminium, while the front and rear mudguards, the keyhole cover and the exhaust heat guard are in carbon fiber.

Paired to the tubular steel trellis frame and single-sided swing arm in aluminium are Öhlins suspensions, top-spec of course, while the maximum braking power is guaranteed by Brembo M50 calipers and large diameter discs.

The engine is the known Testastretta 11º DS unit, a twin-cylinder that puts out 147 hp and 124 Nm of torque, giving the rider massive doses of adrenalin while riding the new Monster 1200 25º Anniversario.

According to the Ducati press release, the Monster 1200 25° Anniversario will be available in Europe from September, from October in Japan, from November in the United States and from December in Australia but can already be ordered at all Ducati Stores. There’s no word if other countries could get some units of this special and limited edition Monster 1200.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
