WD40 is now represented in Malaysia by Bun Seng Hardware

At an event in The Westin, Kuala Lumpur, the American brand WD40 well known for its multipurpose product in a blue and yellow can with a red cap, announced a new life in Southeast Asia with the reveal that Bun Seng Hardware Sdn Bhd is the new marketing distributor for WD40 brand in Malaysia.

Bun Seng Hardware, present in the market since 1979, takes the role of leading the WD40 strategy for expanding its footprint in Southeast Asia, and the objective is clear: in 2018 they expect to sell 2 million cans by the end of the year, and that means an overall growth of over 15% compared to last year.

Malaysia it’s only the starting point of a more aggressive strategy from WD40 in the region, and Bun Seng Hardware, with its strategic partnerships with popular retail chains, will guarantee that WD40 reaches the goals.

For Mr. Wong Kian Wah, managing director of Bun Seng Hardware, the first priority is to “stabilize the market pricing which have caused much concern and confusion to distributors and dealers alike. I would like to re-emphasize that we are committed and ready to take on the challenges ahead”.

WD40 Specialist range of products

The ceremony, which was held in the presence of Datuk Isham Ishak, Deputy Secretary General, Ministry of international Trade and Industry, also had Mr. Marcus Chen, WD40 Regional Director for Asia, addressing the many guests that didn’t lose the opportunity to see in person the famous range of products from WD40.

Mr. Chen said that “We are a global marketing organization dedicated to create positive and lasting memories by developing and selling products that solve problems in the workshops, factories and homes around the World. We are honored and proud to be associated with Bun Seng Hardware. I have every confidence in Bun Seng, as with their extensive distribution network, we will be able to further increase the distribution and penetration of WD40 products, especially our flagship brand WD40 Multi-Use product in Malaysia”.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
