New range of Caltex Havoline motorcycle engine oil with Zoomtech launched

Caltex has just launched its new and improved range of Havoline motorcycle engine oil for 2018. Developed with its proprietary C.O.R.E. Technology and fortified with Zoomtech additives, the new range of lubricants promises to provide enhanced performance for both old and new motorcycles.

The new range of Caltex Havoline lubricants is spearheaded by the flagship Havoline Super 4T Fully Synthetic SAE 5W-40 oil while the rest of the Super 4T lineup consists of the Super 4T Semi-Synthetic SAE 10W-40 and Super 4T Mineral SAE 15W-40 and SAE 20W-40 as well as EZY 4T Mineral SAE 20W-40.

Aside from that, the range also consists of the Supermatic models – the Supermatic 4T Semi-Synthetic SAE 10W-40 and Supermatic 4T Mineral SAE 10W-40. Prices for the lubricants kick off at RM24 per litre for the mineral oil and go up to RM67 per litre for the aforementioned flagship.

“Motorcycles make up almost 46% of the registered vehicles on Malaysian roads and in start-stop city traffic and congestion, the vehicles are constantly under stress. For our consumers, our latest range of motorcycle engine oils with C.O.R.E. Technology and Zoomtech booster, aims to give riders a reliable product that is especially suited for urban commuting,” commented Lennerd Kwek, Chevron Lubricants regional marketing manager, Asia Pacific.

So what exactly does the C.O.R.E. Technology stand for? Well, ‘C’ is for the ability to clean and protect for a more efficient and cleaner engine for superior performance while ‘O’ stands for oxidation stability to provide heat protection against oil degradation. Next, ‘R’ is for the reduction of engine heat to prevent damage via superior oil stability and ‘E’ means enhanced acceleration through improved clutch grip under higher loads.

As for the Zoomtech additive, said booster aims to improve clutch grip for better power transfer which will in turn, lead to improved acceleration. A 13% improvement is present over the older formulation according to Caltex. Also note that all of the lubricants carry the C.O.R.E. Technology save for the Havoline EZY 4T.

Last but not least, as part of the campaign Chevron Malaysia is running a special bundle pack promotion for its new range of lubricants. With every purchase of Havoline Super 4T Fully-Synthetic SAE 5W-40 or Super 4T Semi-Synthetic SAE 10W-40 oil, customers will receive a free, limited edition microfibre towel.
