The Malaysian Grand Prix has ended swell within the loud cheers from the crowd and it was Andrea Dovizioso trounced all racers to claim his MotoGP title.
The Italian managed to overtake team mate Jorge Lorenzo with four laps remaining in order to bag his sixth win in the Sepang circuit. Not to mention, Ducati dominated the podium with a magnificent one-two finish for the first time this year. The Malaysian soil is definitely nourishing the team.
Also on the podium is Yamaha’s Johann Zarco, leaving a disheartened Marc Marquez to follow up fourth place of the race. Despite this, the Spaniard is still ahead of Dovizioso in the standings with a total of 282 points and if he manages to tackle another 25 points in his home race next time, he is most likely to be crowned champion of the year for the fourth time.
Despite this, Dovizioso is definitely not at all discouraged by the possibility of losing the title to Marquez, in fact he is absolutely triggered to put up a sterling performance in Valencia.
“Everything can happen during the weekend, and you never know about the weather,” he told reporters.
“We know it’s difficult but we are relaxed. We are going to Valencia in a relaxed way and will try to do the maximum.”
The Valencia Grand Prix will be taking place in 12 November 2017 at Circuit Ricardo Tormo.
