11th July 2017, Le Meridian Kuala Lumpur – The new Yamaha NVX was unveiled here today, following its preview in Sepang during the 2016 Malaysia MotoGP event. Termed “Revolution in Innovation” this newly introduced model is set to take the automatic segment of the Malaysian market to the next level.

The Yamaha NVX is truly innovative addition to the Yamaha automatic model range. Wrapped in a body packed with innovative features, the new Yamaha NVX is poised to set a new standard in its category.

According to Hong Leong Yamaha Motor’s Managing Director, Dato’ Jim Khor, the Yamaha NVX 155cc employs the Blue Core liquid-cooled, fuel injected single cylinder with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) to offer user-friendly power on tap. This makes both city and long distance riding a breeze. “Other neat features to look out for in the NVX include 14-inch rims with wide tubeless tyres, a 25-litre under seat storage compartment, twin LED headlight as well as an LED tail light and brake light. Safety as an utmost concern, it also comes standard with ABS”.

Upon closer inspection of its aesthetics, the NVX musters a more deliberate presence of advanced sharp and snazzy design in its bodywork. “The Yamaha NVX is equipped with a 5.8 Digital LCD which displays a host of indicators including the tachometer, speedometer, VVA indicator, and odometer. Above that, it’s premium attributes include a pioneering smart key system and a start/stop system for better fuel efficiency”.

Priced at RM10,500.00 including GST, the NVX is targeted at Malaysians who want a mid-sized stylish automatic bike with state of the art product features, previously only found on larger capacity motorcycles.

Wahid's lust for motorcycles was spurred on by his late-Dad's love for his Lambretta on which he courted, married his mother, and took baby Wahid riding on it. He has since worked in the motorcycle and automotive industry for many years, before taking up riding courses and testing many, many motorcycles since becoming a motojournalist. Wahid likes to see things differently. What can you say about a guy who sees a road safety message in AC/DC's "Highway to Hell."
