We kid you not, sources have stated that Harley-Davidson Inc. might have plans to acquire the Italian top-notch Ducati!
The American heavyweight motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson is said to be in the midst of its plans on buying the Italian firm for up to $1.67 billion.
However, regarding the reports and rumours, Harley spokeswoman Katie Whitmore said, “We don’t comment on marketplace rumours.”
Ducati is being put up for sale by Germany-based Volkswagen, whose Audi division controls Ducati. Some reports have claimed that India’s Bajaj Auto are putting up their bits for Ducati.
“By 2027, our objectives are to build 2 million new Harley-Davidson riders in the U.S., grow our international business to 50 percent of our annual volume, launch 100 new high-impact Harley-Davidson motorcycles, deliver superior return on invested capital for Harley-Davidson Motor Co. and grow our business without growing our environmental impact,” said Matt Levatich, CEO, president and director.
