Monster Energy Honda HRC has officially confirmed its rider lineup ahead of the 2026 World Rally-Raid Championship, setting the stage for another high-intensity campaign at the pinnacle of long-distance desert racing. With the new season drawing closer, anticipation is already building across the paddock as teams prepare for one of motorsport’s most demanding global championships.

The 2026 calendar under the World Rally-Raid Championship once again spans five iconic events across multiple continents. The season will open with the legendary Dakar Rally before moving on to Portugal, Argentina, Morocco and Abu Dhabi. Each round presents drastically different conditions, from soft dunes and high-speed deserts to rocky mountain tracks and unpredictable weather, testing both riders and machines to their absolute limit.

A Proven Lineup Returns

Honda has opted for continuity at the highest level, retaining the same four-rider structure that has underpinned its recent rally-raid success. Ricky Brabec, Tosha Schareina, Adrien Van Beveren and Skyler Howes will once again lead the 2026 squad.

Brabec enters his 11th Dakar appearance with renewed confidence after overcoming injury setbacks in previous seasons. At the same time, Schareina arrives as one of the most in-form riders in the discipline following major victories in international competition. Van Beveren continues to be one of the sport’s most respected sand specialists, combining experience with elite-level navigation skills, while Howes returns fully fit and motivated after a season that hinted strongly at his front-running potential.

Team General Manager Ruben Faria described the mood within the camp as highly focused, noting that preparations are now firmly centred on Dakar. With riders deep into both physical and mental training programmes, final technical refinements to the bikes are also underway as the opening round approaches.

CRF450 RALLY Ready for the World Stage

At the heart of Honda’s rally-raid effort remains the CRF450 RALLY. For 2026, the machine continues to evolve with targeted updates aimed at improving reliability, durability and handling across the championship’s vastly different terrains. From the high-speed stages of Saudi Arabia to the technical trails of Portugal and the demanding dunes of Abu Dhabi, the bike is engineered to handle relentless punishment across thousands of competitive kilometres.

A Long-Standing Performance Partnership

The team’s continued success is also built on the long-running partnership between Monster Energy and Honda, a collaboration that dates back to 2017. Over the years, the alliance has delivered multiple Dakar victories and world championship success, cementing its place as one of rally-raid’s most formidable combinations.

Riders Set Their Sights on Dakar and Beyond

Brabec has spoken openly about how the upcoming season represents both a fresh start and a redemption opportunity after previous injury struggles disrupted his preparation. Healthy once again and confident in the team’s direction, the American is targeting another Dakar victory as the ultimate goal.

Howes is equally upbeat, welcoming the changes to the Dakar route for 2026 and expressing particular excitement about the return to Argentina later in the season, where fan support is among the strongest in the sport. Van Beveren, meanwhile, believes he is entering the best phase of his career both physically and mentally, approaching the Dakar with calm confidence and fierce motivation. Schareina rounds out the quartet with strong momentum, buoyed by recent wins and a home-region round in the early part of the championship.

A United Push for 2026 Glory

With continuity in riders, ongoing technical development of the bike, and the backing of one of motorsport’s most recognised performance brands, Monster Energy Honda HRC heads into 2026 as one of the clear benchmark teams of the World Rally-Raid Championship.

From the opening blast off the start ramp at Dakar to the final dunes of Abu Dhabi, the road to the world title will once again demand absolute commitment, precision and resilience. For Honda and its four-rider squad, the mission is clear: fight at the front at every round and chase rally-raid glory on a global scale.
