Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have confirmed a major addition to their 2026 EnduroGP programme with the signing of Andrea Verona. The eight-time world champion will contest the Enduro2 category on the KTM 450 EXC-F, joining the reigning EnduroGP Champion Josep Garcia, who continues as the team’s Enduro1 representative.
The move marks a significant step for both sides. Verona arrives off the back of an impressive 2025 season that showcased his consistency and sharp competitiveness. His results included 14 Enduro2 podiums, seven of them wins, and 11 overall EnduroGP podium finishes. Thus, reinforcing his status as one of the sport’s most complete modern riders.
KTM’s 2026 line-up brings together two distinct strengths under a single structure. Garcia’s explosive pace in Enduro1 and Verona’s adaptability. This is a technically precise approach in Enduro2 to create a balanced pairing designed to target individual class honours as well as the overall EnduroGP crown.
Work has already begun on Verona’s integration into the team. KTM’s technical staff are focusing on adapting the KTM 450 EXC-F to his riding style and involving him directly in pre-season testing. Both he and Garcia will contribute to machinery development as preparations intensify for next year’s championship.
For Verona, the move represents a long-term ambition realised, and internally, the team view his arrival as a natural progression after five years within the KTM family. The collective expectation is that the combination of experience, raw speed, and complementary styles will place the squad in a strong position for 2026.
Team management also notes that preparations for the new season began immediately after the conclusion of the 2025 championship, with the new rider pairing forming the core of an already energised campaign.
With Verona stepping into Enduro2 and Garcia continuing in Enduro1, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing enter the 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship with a reinforced, highly competitive roster built around proven champions and aligned ambition.
