The fifth round of the FIM JuniorGP World Championship revs into action this weekend at the iconic Motor Valley Romagna, better known as San Marino. The Misano World Circuit, famed for its 10 right-hand corners, 6 left-hand corners, and a 530-metre straight, promises a technical and thrilling challenge as the battle for the championship heats up.
Building Momentum After Aragon
Malaysian talent Hakim Danish enters the Misano round with renewed confidence after concluding his 2025 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup campaign just last week. In the previous JuniorGP round at Aragon, the 17-year-old delivered an impressive performance—finishing 4th in Race 1 and fighting for 2nd place in Race 2 before a mechanical issue forced an unfortunate retirement.
Hakim now focuses on Misano and pushes to turn his pace into a podium finish. “Last week marked the final round of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in Misano. I’m even more motivated for the JuniorGP race here. At the moment, I’m in seventh place in the championship, and my target is to secure as many podiums as possible. Don’t forget to keep me in your prayers for success,” said the SIC Racing MSI rider.
High Hopes for Dry Conditions
With two crucial races scheduled for Sunday, Hakim is setting ambitious goals. “This is the fifth round of the FIM JuniorGP season, and of course, I have set high expectations, including aiming for the podium,” he explained. “Together with the team, we are giving our full focus to ensure we are fully prepared. The weather forecast looks good with no rain expected, so we hope to race in dry conditions and fight for a podium finish.”
Currently sitting 7th in the championship standings, Hakim knows that strong results in Misano could significantly boost his title hopes.
