Marc Márquez and the Ducati Lenovo Team extended their stunning unbeaten run to seven consecutive victories, claiming the 26-lap Grand Prix of Hungary at Balaton Park. The win also stretches Márquez’s record to three months without defeat, underlining his dominance in the 2025 MotoGP season.

The race began with early drama as Márquez made contact with Marco Bezzecchi in the opening turns. Despite the scare, the eight-time world champion quickly regrouped, climbing to second with 22 laps remaining and seizing the lead on lap 11. From there, Márquez controlled the pace with ease, ultimately crossing the line over four seconds clear of his nearest rival.

Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia endured a more difficult outing. Starting 13th on the grid, the reigning world champion fought through the pack to seventh before a long-lap penalty relegated him to ninth at the finish.

Marc Márquez: “I was lucky not to crash after coming together with Bezzecchi. My mistake there, but I stayed patient. With the medium tyre, I knew I could keep the rhythm and push when needed. That made the difference today.”

Luigi Dall’Igna (Ducati Corse General Manager): “Seven wins in a row – Marc is in the form of his life. He’s fast but still has margin left, which is incredible. Pecco showed some positive signs too, but we need to work hard to get him back where he belongs.”

With 14 rounds completed, Márquez now sits comfortably atop the championship with 455 points, a commanding 175-point lead over his brother Alex Márquez. Bagnaia remains third, 227 points adrift. Ducati Lenovo Team leads the Teams’ standings on 683 points, while Ducati maintains control of the Manufacturers’ standings with 504 points.

The MotoGP calendar now shifts to Barcelona for the Monster Energy Grand Prix of Catalonia at Montmeló, scheduled for September 5–7. With momentum firmly in his corner, Márquez heads home with one hand and four fingers, already on the championship trophy.
