Japanese brand Thunder Motorcycle made its debut at the Art of Speed 2025 recently, capturing the attention of custom bike enthusiasts and casual visitors alike.
Although the marque hails from Japan, it manufactures all of its motorcycles in China. The company has announced plans to officially enter the Malaysian market in October 2025, with an initial batch of 100 units comprising two models: the Softail 250 and Hardtail 250, each priced at approximately RM24,000.
Both models feature a 249cc V-Twin engine producing 17hp at 8,000rpm and 19Nm of torque at 6,000rpm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Styled as factory-built custom choppers, the Softail 250 and Hardtail 250 bring classic cruiser lines and distinctive “chopper” aesthetics straight from the production floor, offering a ready-to-ride custom experience without aftermarket modification.
The debut marks Thunder Motorcycle’s first major step into Southeast Asia, with the brand aiming to carve out a niche in Malaysia’s growing custom and cruiser motorcycle segment.
