The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 team has successfully wrapped up its final three-day pre-season test at Jerez de la Frontera, marking a crucial step in its preparation for the 2025 Moto2 World Championship.
Riders Izan Guevara and Tony Arbolino spent the test adapting to the new Boscoscuro chassis and integrating with their brand-new team under the guidance of Team Manager Alex De Angelis. With the season opener in Buriram, Thailand, just days away, the focus was on optimizing bike setup rather than chasing fast lap times.
Guevara showed steady progress over the three days, setting an impressive lap time of 1’40″472 to finish 12th overall in the combined standings. Meanwhile, Arbolino faced challenges with front-end confidence, ending the test in 24th place with a best time of 1’40″998. Despite the difficulties, the team remains optimistic about its potential heading into the new season.

Team Manager Alex De Angelis reflected on the test: “We knew this wouldn’t be easy, as everything is new, the team, the bikes, the riders. These three days were about understanding the bike and how it reacts to changes. Izan made significant progress, while Tony worked hard to resolve front-end issues. I’m impressed by how clearly he communicates the bike’s behaviour.”
Guevara, #28 expressed satisfaction with the test: “I’m very happy with how these three days went. We worked in a clear direction, and the collaboration with the team is excellent. I’m optimistic about our progress and looking forward to the first race.”
Arbolino, #14, remained focused on the challenges ahead: “It’s been a tough test, but we’ve gathered valuable data. I’m curious to see how we perform in Thailand, and I’m confident it will be a different story there.”

With testing complete, the team will now enjoy a brief rest before travelling to Thailand for the Thai GP, the opening round of the 2025 Moto2 World Championship. The BLU CRU Pramac Yamaha Moto2 team is ready to kick off its new adventure on the global stage.
