Just days before the 2024 MotoGP World Championship, Ducati Corse and Francesco Bagnaia extend their partnership. The contract solidifies Bagnaia’s commitment to Ducati for 2025 and 2026, continuing their successful collaboration. Born in Turin in 1997, Bagnaia joined Ducati with Pramac Racing in 2019. The renewal cements his future and puts him among Ducati’s legendary riders for eight years. It highlights the trust and commitment between the rider and the team.

The partnership between Bagnaia and Ducati began to bear fruit in 2020 when he secured his first MotoGP podium at Misano Adriatico, his home race. The following year, 2021, marked his promotion to the factory team, and he narrowly missed out on clinching the World Title in a thrilling season finale.

However, 2022 proved to be a breakthrough year for Bagnaia as he claimed his first MotoGP Riders’ World Title. He made history as the first Italian to achieve this feat on an Italian bike, the Desmosedici GP.

In 2023, Bagnaia proved his MotoGP dominance, defending his title impressively. He grabbed 15 podiums, secured 7 victories, and earned 7 pole positions. This led to his second consecutive World Championship. Now, with the number 1 on his bike, Bagnaia aims for more success in the upcoming seasons.

Francesco Bagnaia expressed his joy and enthusiasm for the extended partnership. “I am so happy to continue racing with the team of my dreams! Wearing these colours is an honour for me. It’s fantastic and a source of pride. Together with Ducati, my team, and all the guys at Ducati Corse, we’ve achieved incredible things. In these three more years (including 2024) ahead of us, we’ll continue to give our best to achieve as much success as possible. I am overjoyed and ready to hit the track in Qatar for the first race of the year.”

As the 2024 MotoGP season begins, fans look forward to the synergy between Desmosedici GP’s technology and Francesco Bagnaia’s talent. This dynamic duo is set to make waves in motorcycle racing, leaving a mark on Ducati Corse’s history.
