Legendary Italian brand Benelli has returned to its name after being taken over by China-based Qianjiang Group (QJMotor).

Motorcycles such as the Benelli TRK 502 and Leoncino are now among the popular models in Europe, especially in Italy, with the TRK 502 becoming a more popular option amongst commuters.

Based on the success of Benelli, now QJMotor is also making similar steps with the SRK and SRV models. Due to the demand for ADV motorcycles, QJMotor will be introducing the SVT 650 as well.

QJMotor revealed a clear look at the model by filing a patent and many enthusiasts have started to take an interest in the brand’s newer productions.

The public will be able to witness the new model much more closely as QJMotor has confirmed that it will be exhibiting the SVT 650 at the EICMA this November.

The SVT 650 will be powered by a 645cc V-Twin engine with the same configuration as the Suzuki V-Strom 650. The engine is able to produce 71hp at 8,800rpm and 62Nm at 6,500rpm.

From the available pictures, we can see that the model will feature a long-travel suspension with a stout USD fork up front. It seems like QJMotor has installed Brembo callipers that ride on dual discs at the fore, while a rear luggage rack improves travel prospects.

Details for the bike are still scarce but we can expect a grand revelation next month. Stay tuned!
