WorldSBK: Hafizh Syahrin to test the Honda CBR1000RR-R next January

Hafizh Syahrin will make his debut in the World Superbike Championship (WorldSBK) with MIE Racing Honda Team, next January in Spain.

The country’s former Moto2 rider along with teammate Leandro Mercado will be testing the Honda CBR1000RR-R machine.

“I have never ridden this machine. The test may be around late January or early February in Spain,” he explained.

Meanwhile, in an effort to pursue better compatibility, the 27-year-old rider hopes to test the new machine in Malaysia upon his return from London.

Hafizh hopes that the main sponsor, UMW Grantt International will continue to accompany him to WorldSBK.

“I hope there is an opportunity to continue our cooperation again. Thank you UMW for helping me in Moto2, including bearing the cost of training and travel, ”added Hafizh.
