Honda CB350RS – Specs, Pricing and Options

Honda CB350RS – Specs, Pricing and Options

Honda Motorcycles India officially pulled the cover off the all-new Honda CB350RS earlier this week. Here are the details!

As speculated, Honda Motorcycles India pulled the cover off the Honda CB350RS earlier this week. Based on the Honda CB350 H’ness aka Highness, the new Honda CB350RS is a modern roadster. Having said that, the CB350 also has a scrambler side to it but it’s very subtle. Before we look at the bike in detail, what does RS stand for? Honda says the RS stands for “Road Salining Concept” and it defines “the character of the bike’s smooth performance on the road with a sailing feel & comfort for the rider.”

Design

Speaking of the CB350RS, although it is based on the Honda CB350 H’ness, the CB350RS is unique in its own way. Starting with the design, the new Honda CB350RS’s design is modern, aggressive and bends towards urban roadster styling.  Upfront, the CB350RS gets a retro-modern round LED headlamp unit with a unique ring design. Besides this, being a heritage-inspired model the CB350RS gets flashy badges, chrome side parts and dual-tone fuel tank just like the CB350.

On the other hand, unlike the regular classic CB350 H’ness, the sportier modern CB350RS gets tuck and roll seat, black smoked front and rear fenders, smoky-black finish accented muffler, skid plate, fork boots, sporty grab rails, under-seat LED tail lamp and eye-shaped LED winkers.

Chassis and wheels

On the inside, the CB350RS is built around the same half-duplex cradle frame found on the standard CB350. As for the wheels, the CB350RS gets 19-inch alloy wheel wrapped around by a 100/90 front tyre and a 17-inch alloy wheel wrapped around by a wide 150/70 rear tyre.

Engine

In the case of the engine, the Honda CB350RS makes use of the same 350cc air-cooled 4-stroke OHC single-cylinder engine found on the standard CB350. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the Honda CB350RS pushes 20.78 hp@ 5,500 rpm and a peak torque of 30 Nm @ 3,000 rpm. Just like the CB350 H’ness, the CB350RS gets Assist & slipper clutch and HSTC (Honda selectable torque control) as standard.

 Brakes and suspension

Braking duties are done via a dual-piston calliper with 310mm disc up front and a 240mm disc with single-piston calliper at the rear. The Honda CB350RS also comes with Dual-channel ABS as standard. As for the suspension, telescopic front forks and nitrogen-charged rear twin shocks take care of suspension duties.

Electronic package

In the case of rider aids and electronics, features such as HSTC (Honda Selectable torque control), 2-channel ABS, Assist & Slipper Clutch and digital-analogue instrument cluster have been carried forward from the CB350 H’ness.

Pricing and colour options

The 2021 Honda CB350RS is attractively priced at INR 1,96,000 (ex-showroom PAN India) in India which is approximately MYR 10,891 / USD 2,694. Buyers have the option to choose between two colour options; Black With Pearl Sports Yellow and Radiant Red Metallic in India.
