Honda shows the new CRF line-up for 2019!

The new CRF450L is the star in the revised 2019 CRF line-up from Honda

Honda Motorcycles has just released information and photos of the new CRF line-up for 2019, with two completely new models, and three other machines that receive much needed upgrades to beat the competition.

The new models joining the CRF range are the road legal CRF450L and the cross country machine CRF250RX.

The CRF450L is Honda’s take on what a trail enduro machine should be for riding on the road as well as on off road tracks. Using the CRF450R motocrosser as a base, Honda has built a dual-purpose machine that is tough and light, a bike created to maximize all the available traction on the dirt paths.

The new CRF450L not only delivers excellent performance off road, but it’s also fully road legal! It has sidestand, a fuel tank with increased volume for better range and the lighting system is full-LED. For a trouble free ownership, Honda announces that the first major service is only due at 32.000 km.

The other completely new model in the CRF range is the cross country version CRF250RX.

This bike has the CRF250R as base model but adds cross-country specs derived from the bigger and powerful CRF450RX. The smaller RX from the CRF line-up goes off-road with 18-inch wheel, a fuel tank with 8,5 liters and suspensions that have softer settings to better cope with the off-road terrain.

But the CRF250RX not only gets all this, but it gets also the same upgrades Honda is introducing in the 2019 CRF250R: It inherits the motocrosser’s upgrade with rock-solid bottom-end torque, 3-level HRC Launch Control, new front brake caliper, Renthal Fatbars and black rims.

Now for the upgraded models for the new 2019 season: CRF450R, CRF450RX and CRF250R.

The bike Honda developed for the motocross tracks, the CRF450R, receives a major performance boost: 1.8kW more power and 2Nm more torque, plus stronger power delivery throughout the rev range thanks to a revised cylinder head, intake and exhaust. It also gets 3-level HRC Launch Control and durability upgrades. The chassis features revised suspension settings, redesigned front brake caliper, detailed weight-saving updates (shaving 0.9kg) and Renthal Fat Bar handlebar which sits on a new top yoke adjustable for four positions.

Next is the CRF450RX, the cross country version of the 450.

Like the CRF450R motocross machine, the cross country CRF450RX receives a major boost of top-end power and torque for its engine, and 3-level HRC Launch Control. While still featuring 18-inch rear wheel and 8.5-litre fuel tank, the chassis now offers a revised rigidity balance, new suspension settings, plus Renthal Fat Bar handlebar with 4-way adjustability and new black rims.

Honda also worked on an upgraded version of the smaller motocross model CRF250R.

One year after a full model change, the CRF250R gets a range of new performance, utility and aesthetic updates. Bottom and mid-range torque output gets a major boost thanks to 2mm smaller throttle body, and revised cam, intake and exhaust profiles. Like the 450s, the CRF250R also receives 3-level HRC Launch Control to add to the choice of 3 riding modes. A new twin-piston front brake caliper, adjustable Renthal Fatbars and black rims round out the updates.

The new 2019 CRF line-up was revealed moments ago by Honda Europe. We still don’t know if these bikes will be available in Malaysia, but we will contact the official Honda Motorcycles importer Boon Siew Honda and we will update this content as soon as we get an answer.

With more than ten years as a motorcycle journalist, i enjoy everything that has to do with two-wheels. I'm a fan of sport bikes and i prefer riding them on a racetrack, but give me a road filled with corners and good asphalt and i'll be there to have some fun!
