Triumph Motorcycles stuns crowd with all new Tiger 1200 range

The EICMA in Milan saw lots of new faces and first impressions and on the list of firsts is the all new Triumph Tiger 1200 range. The new range comes with two variants, namely the XC and the XR. Both variants will also come with sub-variants of their own.

According to Triumph Motorcycles, these are the most advanced Tiger models that the brand has ever come up with. The new models are lighter by nearly 10kg and had encountered almost 100 changes compared to the previous-gen Tiger 1200 Explorer.

The weight of the bike is much focused on the engine, chassis and the exhaust, giving riders the best of handling and agility. Not the mention, the bodywork and colour schemes are new as well. The new bikes features full-colour TFT instrumentation screen, keyless ignition, all LED lighting, cornering lamps, backlit switchgear, clutch with sift assist and an updated cruise control as well. It also comes with a new riding mode called the off-road pro.

“The new Tiger 1200 range is so advanced it has taken a full four years to develop, and today we’re proud to launch a family of motorcycles that altogether boasts significant class-leading engine characteristics, rider-focused technological innovations and premium styling; all in the name of first-class riding enjoyment. These are by far the most adventure-ready Tigers ever built.”

The bike features a 1215cc three-cylinder engine that produces 139 bhp alongside a six-speed gearbox.
