It’s not official yet, but all signs point to Ducati launching a new version of the Panigale V4 next year, offering both the V4 and V4 S variants. This anticipated update has enthusiasts and experts buzzing with excitement.
Certification data from Switzerland, highlighted by Motorcycle.com, reveals intriguing details about the upcoming models. The new models are listed with a code of 5D, replacing the 3D designation from the last update in 2022. Ducati historically used codes 1D and DA for earlier Panigale V4 versions. Many believe 5D signifies a significant update for a 2025 release.
A key highlight of the upcoming models is the engine upgrade. The new engine will carry the code 1100WR, replacing the current 1100WM. This change hints at potential enhancements in performance and efficiency. However, detailed specifications on the suspension, brakes, and powertrain remain under wraps.
What is known, however, is promising. The homologation data lists a maximum power output of 213.1 hp at 13,500 rpm. This is a slight increase from the current model. Torque figures are pegged at 121 Nm at 11,250 rpm. The bike’s weight is 274 kg, suggesting that Ducati is maintaining a focus on balancing power with manageable weight.
While the motorcycle world awaits more detailed specifications and official confirmation from Ducati, the available information already paints a picture of an exciting evolution for the Panigale V4. The upcoming models will continue Ducati’s legacy of combining cutting-edge technology with high performance, catering to both enthusiasts and professional riders alike.
Stay tuned for more updates as Ducati prepares to officially unveil what could be a game-changing addition to their lineup.
