After a few years of silence, Honda has revived the Shadow name for the cruiser motorcycle market by introducing the Honda Shadow Phantom 2024.
The Honda Shadow Phantom has finally been upgraded with ABS functionality for 2024, a must-have feature on today’s motorcycles. However, Honda still offers the model without ABS for those who remain ‘old school’.
Honda has equipped the Shadow Phantom model with disc brakes at the back to replace the drum brakes in the previous generation.
In terms of aesthetics, the overall appearance of the latest generation Honda Shadow looks fresher with a combination of new colours and graphics, new headlight guards and the use of front and rear LED signal lights.
Honda has also redesigned the front and rear fenders which are now shorter. However, Honda has left out the pillion seat for this edition and only fitted a single seat. According to Honda, the new seat is more comfortable and lower at 650mm.
This 2024 model is also 2.7kg lighter than the previous generation. The ABS version weighs 250kg and it is 246kg for the version without ABS.
Despite various upgrades, this Honda Shadow Phantom 2024 still features a 14L tank and a 745cc V-Twin engine. Mated with a 5-speed transmission, the engine is capable of producing 44.6hp and 65Nm.
